AZEALIA Banks has launched another rant aimed at Irish people in which she said they should be quarantined and the mocked the potato famine. The 27-year-old rapper latest comments on Instagram come after she called the Irish “f**ing ugly” after she got into a row with an Aer Lingus stewardess before a flight from Gatwick to Dublin. The controversial artist threw racial slurs during her meltdown and shared them on her Instagram story to her 613k Instagram followers. But despite talking about “beautiful Irish women” while on stage during her Dublin gig she has once again laid into the nation. Writing to one follower, she said: “'Don't you have a famine to go die in?” in reference to the 1845-49 Potato Famine in which a million people died. “You lot are a bunch of prideful inbred leprechauns who have ZERO global influence and ZERO white privilege,” she said continuing her rant in another posts. “The rest of the world's white folk don't … [Read more...] about Azealia Banks slams Irish people and ridicules potato famine in bizarre Instagram rant

“Ugly” and “Oompa Loompa-looking” were two of the more printable put-downs, seemingly provoked after an altercation with Aer Lingus cabin crew which led to her exiting a flight to Dublin on Monday morning. For the sold-out crowd who attended her concert at the intimate confines of the Academy, Banks will need little introduction. But for countless others, who only heard her name for the first time this week, the 27-year-old New York native will have intrigued if only because she deviated so spectacularly from the ‘Aren’t the Irish great’ narrative we have become so accustomed to from visiting musicians. So, just who is the self-styled Queen of Ireland? Born in 1991 and raised in Harlem, Banks has been making music since her late teens and she first came to the attention of New York’s hip-hop community in 2012 when she released a mixtape album - rap-speak for a home-made compilation of lo-if recordings. But it was her 2014 debut album … [Read more...] about John Meagher: Is it fair to demonise Azealia Banks?

How do you keep your head straight? “I have a f***ing wife and three kids who would kick the s**** out of me if I got ahead of myself. And I have got mates who don’t give a f*** about what I do, that I have known forever. Besides, I started when I was 29. Listen, I have been up before and forgotten about, and up before and forgotten about. That’s an actor’s job – to be forgotten about. If you are not being forgotten about, you are doing it wrong. And a couple of years after Game of Thrones finishes I will be forgotten about again. "But my ego is enormous. I can put up with being forgotten about. Cardi B was furious when her estranged husband Offset gatecrashed her festival set in Los Angeles last night. The hip-hop star, 26, was performing at the Rolling Loud festival at the Bank of California stadium when the Migos bandmember suddenly appeared on stage. Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was accompanied by floral messages reading: "Take me back Cardi". The Bronx-raised beauty looked unimpressed and ordered him to leave the stage. Offset's stage invasion comes after he made a plea for forgiveness on his Instagram on Friday night: "I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back, Cardi. We’re going through a lot of things right now, I want to apologise to you Cardi, I know I embarrassed you. "I know I made you a little crazy, doing things I ain’t had no business partaking in activity that I shouldn't have been taking in.
