Judges score entries on a performance scale and the winning entries are recognized and awarded not only for Best of Show, but also for two Awards of Excellence levels, two Awards of Merit levels, and a Kudos Endeavor Award. Best of Show awards are granted to the top scoring entry/entries for each season; Awards of Excellence are granted to entries with truly exceptional artistic and technical achievements; and notable achievements are recognized at the Awards of Merit and Kudos Endeavor Award levels. Land Rover’s May sales figures have revealed a further slide as the Coventry car maker continues to navigate a course through choppy waters. The company has announced it sold 42,370 vehicles in May, down by 12.2% compared to May 2018. The latest figures follow a difficult 2018/2019 financial year when the car maker posted a £358million loss - or £3.6 billion if a writedown on the value of assets was taken into account. However, the company reported an encouraging period towards the end of the financial year as it returned to profitability for the final quarter. Brexit uncertainty and declining demand for diesel vehicles means life continues to be tough for Jaguar Land Rover but its biggest challenge continues to be the sales slide in China, which at one point had become its biggest market.
