A group of Cabinet ministers - including the new Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi - are planning to confront Boris Johnson this evening and tell him that he must step down as Prime Minister. The Telegraph understands that Brandon Lewis, the Northern Ireland Secretary, Grant Shapps, the Transport Secretary, and Simon Hart, the Welsh Secretary, are among those who are preparing to make the intervention . Mr Zahawi is also understood to be involved, with the push against the Prime Minister being coordinated by Chief Whip Chris Heaton-Harris. Eamonn Holmes has labelled the press office at ITV a ‘ministry of lies’ after his exit from the broadcaster, while opening up on the rivalry between GB News and Good Morning Britain . On Wednesday afternoon, Eamonn won the prize for news presenter at the 2022 Tric Awards, beating his fellow nominees Clive Myrie , Stephen Dixon and Victoria Derbyshire . On an explosive day of news from Number 10, BBC News presenter Tim Willcox didn’t seem too enthused about the whole thing, after he was caught scrolling his phone with his feet up on the desk. Yazmin Oukehllou reportedly cried "help me, help me, my friend is dead" as the reality star bravely got help following the car accident in Turkey that tragically killed Jake McLean. The Only Way Is Essex star Yaz, 28, is said to have pulled herself from the overturned Mercedes car with a bleeding arm to get help following the tragic car accident. An injured Yaz climbed through 'thorny bushes' through a steep bank, where the car had landed, to wave down passing cars nearby, according to an official who told MailOnline. Texas Governor Greg Abbott 's pricey border initiative is reportedly under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) for alleged civil rights violations. The investigation was first reported by The Texas Tribune and the nonprofit news organization ProPublica, which said that they had obtained state records. The report, for example, mentioned one letter—which noted a "formal investigation" by the DOJ of Operation Lone Star—that was allegedly sent last Friday by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to Texas' attorney general. The department's deputy general counsel wrote in the letter that the DOJ was looking into whether people who were arrested as part of Operation Lone Star were facing "differential and unlawful conditions of confinement based on their perceived or actual race or national origin," the Tribune and ProPublica reported.
