Meanwhile, Apple has announced a suite of new tools for the next iPhone operating system that allow you to set time limits on how much you use particular apps, and quieten the flood of notifications. Boris Johnson has claimed the naughtiest thing he had ever done was that he rode his bicycle on the pavement. Well by now we're all pretty intimately aware of Boris Johnson's past. NEW streaming service BritBox – masterminded by the BBC and ITV – has launched, and roped in Channel 4 too. The rival broadcaster has agreed to provide programmes for the streaming platform, meaning all the UK's main television channels will be available from one catch-up outlet for the first time ever. BritBox now offers shows from ITV, BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 and has just launched in the UK. Reemah Sakaan, ITV's group director for streaming, told the BBC: "It's got the widest range of UK box sets of any service. "Ostensibly the other streamers are US-focused so they make dramas for the US market, whereas BritBox is the faces, people and places that you know." BritBox will cost £5.99 a month for HD and multi-screen viewing.You can also sign up for a free 30-day trial. The US ban on sharing technology with Huawei is a “cynically timed” blow in the escalating trade war between the US and China, the Chinese firm’s top executive in the UK has said. Huawei denounced Donald Trump’s ban on the sharing of US tech with “foreign adversaries”, after a string of US tech companies followed Google in restricting the company’s access to their products on Monday. Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s World At One, Huawei’s executive vice-president in the UK, Jeremy Thompson, said the dispute was about trade, not security. “We’re in the middle of a trade war between two big countries so the timing of this is to inflict maximum hurt on our organisation. We’re a football in between this trade war,” he said.
