Jack Keating’s mother Yvonne Connolly has addressed the cruel comments her son has received from trolls since his debut on Love Island ’s Casa Amor . The 23-year-old social media manager, who Yvonne shares with ex-husband Ronan Keating, joined the show last week as one of the bombshells for the girls in Casa Amor. However, as well as a vast majority of fans swooning over him, Jack also faced some cruel comments about his red hair and pale skin. Whole Yvonne did not call out the specific comments, she did address that the reaction to his appearance on the show was far more positive on Instagram than it had been on Twitter. She shared a photo of Jack on her Instagram story, adding: ‘After the teaser I’m looking forward to watching Jack tonight on Love Island. ‘Thank you so much for all your comments. All positive (can’t say the same for other platforms). ‘So many people wishing Jack well and rooting for him. It means so much. Cajuns have put focus on adding pitching options in transfer portal so far
The process isn’t over, but UL baseball coach Matt Deggs is pretty pleased with how the transfer portal has treated the Ragin’ Cajuns. The losses have been minimal and the additions could be significant. “I think it’s pretty uncommon,” Deggs said of losing only two players to the portal who ended last season on the Cajuns' active roster. Those players are second baseman Bobby Lada and relief pitcher Chipper Menard. “This team is very, very tight," Deggs said. "They’re very close and very together. That’s one of the ways that you combat this stuff. Look, this type of brotherhood, you maybe get this once in your life if you’re lucky.” The Cajuns spent most of June trying to add pitching options after losing all three weekend starters — Brandon Talley, Jacob Schultz and Jeff Wilson — to graduation; prime reliever Bo Bonds to Tommy John surgery; and Menard to the portal. “I think we needed another piece or two,” Deggs said. “We’ve got a chance to return the bulk of our … [Read more...] about Cajuns have put focus on adding pitching options in transfer portal so far

Arabs believe economy is weak under democracy
By Jessie Williams, Sarah Habershon & Becky Dale Published 3 hours ago Share close Share page Copy link About sharing Arabs are losing faith in democracy to deliver economic stability across the Middle East and North Africa, according to a major new survey. Nearly 23,000 people were interviewed across nine countries and the Palestinian territories for BBC News Arabic by the Arab Barometer network. Most agreed with the statement that an economy is weak under a democracy. The findings come just over a decade after the so-called Arab Spring protests called for democratic change. Less than two years after the protests, just one of those countries - Tunisia - remained a democracy, but a draft constitution published last week could push the country back towards authoritarianism, if approved. Michael Robbins, director of Arab Barometer, a research network based at Princeton … [Read more...] about Arabs believe economy is weak under democracy
