BBC Breakfast's Carol Kirkwood has issued a "huge apology" after a fan called her out for a snub. Carol, 60, has a legion of fans but a tweet this week about weather conditions upset one of her followers. The star shared an update on pollen levels across the country on Tuesday to give hay-fever sufferers the heads up. She wrote: "Pollen levels today across England are mostly very high, high in north-west England and moderate in south-west England. For Scotland and Northern Ireland they are moderate @BBC Breakfast xxx". Unfortunately, some of Carol's fans in Wales was disappointed to see their area had been missed out of the tweet. They wrote: "Carol, what about [Welsh flag emoji], I know everyone thinks we are part of England, but I thought you would have remembered us" alongside a crying emoji.
