The best young technical footballers from across Hertfordshire are being asked to sign up to appear on a CBBC show to showcase the skills of some of the most youth players in the country. The show, Can you kick it? is currently in production with CBBC and a casting call has gone out to encourage young people to sign up and show off their fancy feet. The call is for all young players between 10 and 14 to apply and have a chance to appear in trials that are being held at three locations across the country, Glasgow Live is reporting. The three trials, which are being held in London, Manchester, and Glasgow, are during June and July 2018, with those progressing then invited to attend sessions held on August 5-15 and August 28. To apply children will need the consent of a parent or guardian, a recent photograph, as well as film footage of the child performing impressive football tricks and skills. A new CBBC show is scouting for Derby’s best young technical footballers. Youngsters are being asked to send in videos showcasing their skills for the Children’s BBC programme that will showcase the ability of the UK's most talented young players. A casting call has gone out for Can You Kick It?, a new show which is currently in production for the UK's biggest children's channel, Glasgow Live reports. The show is calling on young players, aged between 10 and 14, to apply and be in with a chance of featuring in trials which will be held across the country. Liverpool parents have hit out against the 'ridiculous' price of tickets for the BBC's three-day children's festival coming to Croxteth Park in August. CBBC Summer Social will be the channel's biggest ever live event, starring many of its most popular presenters and shows alongside international music acts. Liverpool beat other places across the UK to host the event, which the City Council hopes will help revitalise the Croxteth/West Derby area. And while some Echo readers agreed the festival is good news for the city, many of them are questioning the ticket prices, which range from £28-36 depending on when you buy them. Jade Geoghegan said: I would of loved to have taken my Lil girl but I can't afford that. Sorry but this is pure greed." A Luton teenager is starring in a CBBC singing contest in a bid to win a performance at Radio 1’s Big Weekend - and he’s hoping his hometown will support him all the way! Shaun Curtis, 15, of Ashcroft High School is taking part in the channel’s talent contest, Got What It Takes?, as the youngster must battle through weekly music challenges in order to win the festival performance and a track recording with a celeb. There’s a big twist, though, as the teens’ mums are the judges, and the ladies must cast votes each week to decide which teen wins the ‘sing off’ - the contestant with the most victories securing an automatic pass to the final. A TEENAGE dancer is making his debut in a Canadian TV drama after winning a national BBC talent show. Harrison Vaughan, from Widnes, beat more than 2,500 hopefuls to audition for the CBBC Taking The Next Step Series 2. The 14-year-old staged a unique dance routine in front a live studio audience at the final and wowed judges with his creative flair. Judges travel across the UK to find just one performer who has what it takes to appear on the Canadian hit TV reality soap opera The Next Step. Harrison flew to Toronto to film scenes for the teen drama series which features a group of dancers striving to win competitions while dealing with their own dramas and relationships.
