Yesterday it was announced the Elizabeth line is facing further delays, and is now set to open in autumn 2019, £600m over budget and nine months late. But as the line named after one long reigning queen is opening, another is celebrating a major anniversary. London's Victoria line turns 50 today, and Transport for London has released some historic photos to mark the occasion.
