How Kate Middleton’s fashion inspired Queen’s granddaughter at garden party

The princess and her sister Eugenie are both granddaughters of the queen and have in recent years been undertaking increased charity work—though both do not officially undertake duties on behalf of the queen and are not considered "working royals." To the garden party on Wednesday, Beatrice wore a check patterned midi dress in pale pink and black from Self-Portrait, with a white belt and black accessories. Spain approves bill to become first country in Europe to offer menstrual leave
Spain has approved a draft bill that widens abortion rights for teenagers as it becomes the first country in Europe to entitle workers to paid menstrual leave. The measures are part of a package of proposals that will be sent to Spain's parliament for debate. It includes an extension of abortion rights, scrapping the requirement for 16 and 17-year-olds to obtain parental consent before terminating a pregnancy. Meanwhile, it proposes giving workers who suffer from severe period pain three days of optional medical leave a month, with two additional days permitted in exceptional cases. "We will recognise in the law the right to leave for women who have painful periods that will be financed by the state," equality minister Irene Montero tweeted on Friday. Advertisement She said it would no longer be "normal to go to work in pain", adding the move would "end the stigma, shame and silence around periods". Jose Luis Escriva, Spain's minister for inclusion, … [Read more...] about Spain approves bill to become first country in Europe to offer menstrual leave

Danny Dyer has reportedly quit as host of BBC’s Saturday night quiz show, The Wall, after four series. Each episode sees one pair take on The Wall in three rounds that test their general knowledge and trust in each other, in the hope of winning large sums of money. But it seems like presenter Danny, 44, has had enough of the challenge and will be walking away from the hit series. When asked by The Sun if he’d be returning to The Wall, he told the publication: ‘No.’ Despite his apparent exit, it seems the broadcaster is open to getting a new host onboard, and encouraged fans to watch old episodes on BBC iPlayer. The BBC told Metro.co.uk : ‘Whilst The Wall is off the air, fans can stream their favourite episodes on iPlayer. ‘Plus there are plenty of other great quiz and game shows currently airing on … [Read more...] about Danny Dyer ‘quits as host of BBC’s The Wall’ as show’s future thrown into doubt

Couple say their home of more than four decades has been invaded by flies
A couple say their home of more than four decades has been invaded by flies, and they're so embarrassed they refuse to let anyone in. Angela Hickey, 68, and John Hickey, 79, claim the property they've lived in for 43 years has been taken over by thousands of drain flies, which belong to the Psychodidae family and are sometimes known as moth flies. The couple, from Stanmore, Middlesex, in southeast England, allege that their housing association has not dealt with the problem satisfactorily. The pair were moved into a hotel after the association said they would fumigate the property and pull the kitchen out to assess the source of the problem. The Hickeys claim that when they returned home, they found minimal work had been done - and the flies were still in the property. Nearly 18 months since they first noticed the flies, they're still trying to get rid of them. Home Group Housing Association said its team had "gone over and above to try to resolve the issue." But Angela … [Read more...] about Couple say their home of more than four decades has been invaded by flies
