A couple's dream home has turned into a nightmare as passing lorries on a nearby road cause the house to shake. Jackie McCormack and her husband couldn't believe their luck when they bought an "absolutely beautiful" three-bed new build for £350,000 in Coleshill, near Birmingham. But as soon as they moved in, traffic from the busy A446 Lichfield Road - just nine feet from their home - meant they were constantly rocked by passing motorists. Mum Jackie has likened it to "living next to a motorway" and said the air is also full of vehicle fumes, with lorries heard between 5.30am and 8.30pm every day, reports Birmingham Live. A GRENFELL Tower firefighter has been sacked for trying to rescue people from a burning house. Charlie Kaye, 32, was dismissed for breaking health and safety rules when he dashed into the property without his partner. Now, he is taking London Fire Brigade to an employment tribunal to try to get his job back. He said: “I feel it’s a massive injustice. I acted out of courage on that job. I ran in to try and save someone but they’ve thrown the book at me. KERRY Katona is convinced her mum's home is haunted after lights kept turning on and off in her presence. The former Atomic Kitten singer took several videos of the creepy goings on and posted them to her Instagram page, which served to completely freak out her fans. Mum-of-five Kerry was at her mum Sue’s house over the Easter weekend when a table lamp next to her mum’s bed randomly kept flickering. After catching what she believed was the evidence on video, she revealed it isn’t the first time something so unsettling has happened. A mum says a rat infestation has left her home smelling like a mortuary as they continue to riot in her loft and inside the walls. Emma Valentine, 42, shared some horrifying images and claimed the rodents are turning her into a nervous wreck. Her council-owned Leeds house became overrun with the animals and she says the problem is making her family's lives a misery. Speaking to LeedsLive , she says the local authorities have failed to get to the bottom of the on-going issue. Emma lives in the property with her two young children and she fears the family of rodents will soon make their way into their bedrooms. A spokesperson for Leeds City Council said they were happy to visit and carry out the work needed. A GRAN who bought a £325k house next to a busy A-road after SEVEN viewings has hit back at trolls criticising her for complaining about the noise. Jackie McCormack and husband James, both 58, spent £325k on their "forever" home - only to be left sleepless by the bustling A446, nine feet away. The couple moved into the three-bed new-build in Coleshill, Warwickshire, at the end of February. They have been forced to wear earplugs ever since thanks to the thunderous traffic. But the grandparents have been attacked by trolls for not realising that living next to a main road would be loud. Hitting back, Jackie showed how noise levels hit 85 decibels when a wagon rattles past - equivalent to some power tools.
