A majority of Brits believe professional football clubs in England should be owned by their fans, according to a new poll in the wake of the European Super League debacle. An exclusive survey conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for MailOnline found 55 per cent of people believe it would be better if teams were owned by their fans, even if that meant clubs having less money to spend on players. Just 18 per cent of people do not think that fan ownership would be better while a quarter (26 per cent) said they did not know. A couple have been forced to pull their property from the market after discovering their garden is collapsing into in a stream. Paul Minchella, 57, and his wife Dawn have been hit with an £88,000 bill on their home which is now unsellable due to structural faults – and the insurance risks associated with it. The pair bought the new build in Longwood, Huddersfield, for £173,000 in April 2007. Now, 14 years, later, they say it has turned into a nightmare after being quoted a fortune to fix structural problems in the outdoor area. The couple said they discovered the fault after surveyors visited their home in September 2019 regarding their house sale. They then discovered their garden was gradually falling into a stream. THE Southern Co-op is to start selling out of date food including fruit, vegetables and pasta in a bid to cut down on food waste. The food is passed its best before date - by up to two days if its fresh or seven days if its dried - and prices will start at 20p. It means shoppers will be able to pick up discounted tinned fruit, veg, dried pasta and rice, confectionary, condiments, sugar and sweetners, coffee, tea and jams. From the fresh food aisles, customers can expect to bag bargain soft fruits and fruit juices. The grub is perfectly safe to eats as long as it's been stored correctly as the best before date indicates when food is at its best in terms of quality. A 25-year-old homeowner has shared how she managed to save £25,000 to put down a deposit for her dream house despite not earning an extremely high salary. Rebecca, who became a YouTube sensation with her renovation videos, encouraged viewers to save for their own home or car saying: "If I can do it, anybody can do it." While neither Rebecca or her partner were making that much money at work, both were determined to save for a place of their own. The couple used simple ways to put money aside, including putting pennies in a jar which saw them accumulate as much as £700, BirminghamLive reports.
