Celebrated architect I.M. Pei has died at age 102. MELISSA Venables clocked up 78 miles to finish as the first lady, and the second overall, at the Crawley A.I.M track race, amongst a glut of other achievements for the Spa Striders. The 12 hour race – starting at 8pm on Saturday, and ending at 8am on Sunday – was lapped 313 times by Venables, who ran 26 more laps than the second best lady. Elsewhere, John-Paul Hunt finished in two hours, 15 minutes at the Cannock Chase Trail Half Marathon, despite being sent in the wrong direction along with around 100 other runners, whilst Neil Smith finished second (57:48) at the 10-mile Draycote Water event – a club record. He was followed by Tim Robb in 1:30:53. At the Draycote 10km meanwhile, Joseph McCullagh finished 16th (42:03), followed by Luke Bennett (42:24) in 17th, Lloyd Harriman (42:25) in 18th and Kat Lambeth (45:18) – the fourth fastest lady – with personal bests. A ring box containing locks of hair was found and handed into police in Northern Ireland on Saturday. The box was found on High Street in Omagh, Co. Tyrone and the P.S.N.I. is determined to find the owner. "I know that someone, somewhere will be relieved to learn that this keepsake has been found and handed in to Omagh Police Station," wrote a P.S.N.I. officer on social media."I still have some locks of hair from the first time my daughter had her hair cut," added the officer. Gregor Fisher will pay homage to Rikki Fulton’s Rev I.M. Jolly in a specially created sketch during BBC Scotland’s Hogmanay Live celebrations. The Rab C Nesbitt star dons a clerical collar to step into the shoes of the late great Rikki’s comically morose minister for the one-off sketch to mark the 40th anniversary of Scotch & Wry. Gregor said: “I’m delighted to do it. I think there was a bit of Rikki that always saw me as the heir apparent – I’m sure he had many heirs apparent – and I think he’d like the idea of Jolly being back on screen again. “It’s not an impression of Rikki – there wasn’t any way we would even attempt that, you just couldn’t do it.
