CORONATION Street’s Kate Spencer lost four stone before joining the ITV soap as Michael Bailey's ex Grace Vickers. The actress – who worked at the box office in Derby Theatre before landing a role in Corrie – has revealed she used to be overweight before she discovered a passion for running, boxing and yoga. Kate, 29, said: "I actually lost four stone about five years ago, partly through training and also eating better. "I love running, and I did five half-marathons in 2020 – I ran one this morning too! I have the Hamilton soundtrack and Jason Derulo on my running playlist." The actress, from Ashford in Kent, lives with her long-term boyfriend Paul Walker in Nottingham and she said the couple often train together, with Paul well able to push her to her limits. KATIE Price has gushed over terminally ill mum Amy Price in a touching International Women's Day message thanking her for "encouraging me to simply be me". The former glamour model turned businesswoman credited her "thick skin" to her parent, 69, who was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017. A disabled man used his mobility scooter like a 'battering ram' to knock over two elderly women waiting at a bus stop, a court heard. Former psychiatric nurse Aaron Ali, 40, allegedly reversed over Doris Collins, 88, and Joan Benjafield, 90, while they were out shopping in Welling, Kent, on June 14. Ali is also accused of ambushing 72-year-old Michael Gibson in another random attack in nearby Woolwich High Street on January 2. Ms Collins and Ms Benjafield were waiting to get on a number 96 bus when the ramp came down and Ali rode off on his scooter. But Ali claims he had a 'diabetic crash' before running into the two women. Ali, who qualified as a nurse in 2001, claimed he was left disabled for life after he was attacked by a patient while working at Shaftesbury House, Ealing.
