Kim Kardashian’s guard stops intruder who claimed she’s his wife from crashing into gate

Kim Kardashian 's security guard was forced to step in after an intruder tried to break into her home. The 24-year-old man claimed he was married to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star before crashing into her neighbour's gate in a desperate bid to get inside her LA mansion. The ordeal reportedly took place on the evening of February 24, according to TMZ , who cited law enforcement sources. The outlet reports that the man "told law enforcement he was going to see Kim, and at one point even claimed she was his wife". A source close to the reality TV star told E! News that Kim's security was able to stop the man from intruding, noting that, "he was arrested and is currently on a 72-hour psych hold". A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department official confirmed to Daily News that the man has since been arrested. COVID-19: Brazilian P1 variant may spread more easily and could evade immune system, scientists find

The first assessment of the Brazilian variant of COVID-19, newly identified in the UK, shows it may spread more easily - and evade the immune system. Scientists from Brazil and the UK estimate the variant, known as P1, is 1.4 to 2.2 times more transmissible than previous versions of coronavirus circulating in Manaus, the Amazon city where it originated. It is also able to evade between 25% and 61% of protective immunity from previous infection, according researchers at Imperial College London and the University of Sao Paulo. Climate change: Global CO2 emissions bounce back to pre-COVID levels, International Energy Agency study finds

Global emissions have rebounded to worrying levels after a historic decline in 2020, according to new data. And the International Energy Agency (IEA), which has compiled the data, says ensuring that 2019 marks a definitive peak in global CO2 emissions will be "extremely challenging". The IEA says the COVID crisis in 2020 triggered the largest annual drop in energy-related carbon dioxide emissions since the Second World War. It also says avoiding a rebound in emissions requires "rapid change" around the world in how energy is used and produced. In April 2020, global emissions registered their largest ever monthly drop. But by December they were two per cent higher than the same month a year earlier.
