MOST of us think that losing body fat means having to give up everything that we normally love eating. And after a few days of eating tasteless rabbit food, we find ourselves binging on a giant Domino's and our diet is ruined - again. Having a little of what you fancy is the key to sustainable weight loss - not denying ourselves delicious grub and then giving up. "The idea of not being able to eat out when on a diet is a complete myth," Terri Ann Nunns previously told The Sun. "Treating yourself to a meal at a restaurant doesn't mean you have to go off track." The Hospital Group's Dietitian George Hamlyn-Williams said: “We know that eating out can be a challenge for people watching their weight, often looking straight to the salad section of the menu - but it really doesn’t need to be that way. "Many menus now offer a wide variety of meals, from low calorie to high protein, you just need to know what to look out for.” Here are George and Terri's best options … [Read more...] about You CAN eat out and still lose weight – the healthiest picks at Wetherspoons, Toby Carvery, Nando’s and more
Actually delicious turkey burgers
Whether it's the crowning jewel after a great night out, or the staple of your weekly takeaway, nothing really compares to a kebab. Originally invented in the Ottomon Empire - now Turkey - in the 17th century, doner kebab is unmistakable for the way it is cooked and heated on a vertical revolving spit. The meat - which has been compressed together and then stacked in a vertical cone to put on the spit, known as a rotisserie - is shaved off as it cooks. Many outlets will serve you your doner in a variety of different ways, from wraps to on its own with chips, on pizzas to in a burger bun. But the most popular way to have it is with a pitta bread and salad, smothered with chilli and garlic sauces, and served with a side of chips. We took a look at the Just Eat app across the city to find out which were the most popular places to get your doner so we could compare them and find out which was the definitive place to get your kebab. All these takeaways have been rated 5.5* by customers on … [Read more...] about The best 8 kebab houses in Hull you should definitely try

Veganism – it’s so popular even the Russians are doing it. But they’re not falling over themselves to buy a Greggs’ vegan sausage roll. For a start, Greggs hasn’t made it out to the land of vodka and babushkas, just yet, but also, when I visited Plymouth’s twin city Novorossiysk in late 2018, I found there were very few specifically vegan foods to eat, even though there is a growing population of vegans. And that was actually very refreshing – and I didn’t go hungry. In a week when Greggs’ new vegan sausage roll has caused a stir around the UK, many people, whatever they eat, have been asking why vegan foods often mimic meat products. The notorious B12 burger and Beyond Burger, vegan offerings that “bleed”, arrived in the UK in 2018. Some people argue that it is because many vegans don’t actually dislike the … [Read more...] about Why you won’t find Greggs’ vegan sausage rolls in Russia

Visit the Moorish Almudaina royal palace and 13th Century Santa Maria Cathedral, and the stone-built villages of Pollenca and Fornalutx. Try tumbet, a delicious local dish of fried aubergines, potatoes, red peppers and tomatoes, along with ensaimada, a pastry made with pork lard (sorry vegetarians!). Stay at one of TUI's three Family Life resorts.
