80 year old woman lands plane after husband dies

A MUM has refused to let her 15-year-old daughter get on a plane by herself - but it has left people divided. The 45-year-old woman asked on Reddit if she was in the wrong. She explained that her daughter wanted to get on the plane to see her friend. The mum explained: "My eldest, 15 year old daughter wants to go on a plane by herself to spend time with a friend she does not see very often. "I did not think it was safe for her to fly on her own because she has not flown since she was a baby." She also added that she has tried to run away twice, as well as failed two of her classes. Two people have been arrested after a drunken passenger on board a flight to Spain allegedly punched a security guard. According to an eyewitness’ account, a man and a woman had been waiting at Bristol Airport to get on board a 17.45 easyJet flight to Alicante when the altercation took place. The pair had been stopped from boarding the plane because they were "intoxicated", police have said, when the man reportedly began shouting at the airline staff at the gate. Airport security and other passengers had come over to de-escalate the situation, when the man proceeded to punch one of the security guards in the face. Steve Rich, who witnessed the altercation, told Bristol Live : "All of a sudden the passenger just threw a fist over one of the guy's shoulders, and just caught the security guard on the mouth." Daniel Printz, 59, was in court on Tuesday just one month after the body of an 80-year-old woman was found in a wooded area. Ms Johnson became the first woman to fly solo from the UK to Australia when she managed the feat in 1930. Organisers of a festival to mark the 75th anniversary of her death hoped to put her Gipsy Moth on display in Hull. But the Science Museum in London turned down the proposal, explaining it would cost "several hundred thousand pounds" to move the historic aircraft. Bi-plane pilot Tracey Curtis-Taylor is following a similar route to the aviator who became the first woman to make the journey in 1930. Ms Curtis-Taylor, 55, described the 13,000-mile flight as a "destiny which was always meant to be". She took off from Farnborough, Hampshire, in The Spirit of Artemis, shortly before 13:00 BST. The journey will see her fly across 23 countries, making 50 refuelling stops in the 73-year-old open cockpit bi-plane. Carla Sacchi was allowed out of the hospital near Piacenza a few days ago but has now died at her home. A vegan mother has been found guilty of starving her 18-month-old son to death by feeding him raw vegetables and fruits.
