A SELF-PROCLAIMED sleep expert has claimed there’s a much better way to feel rested. The TikToker, known only as Robyn, said the eight-hour sleep routine is a “scam”. Experts at the Sleep Foundation have recommended adults should get between seven and nine hours of sleep every night. But, Robyn claimed the routine has been “ingrained" into society. She explained: “We didn’t use to abide by the eight-hour sleeping schedule. “We used to have two sleeps: they were called the first and second sleep. “Basically, you would rise at a dawn and do the most of your work or if not all of your work for the first half of the day.” Robyn explained that people would take their lunch break around noon before going for a nap. She said: “It’s just another regenerative period for your body to restore the energy you had used previously.” She said people would wake up around 4pm before continuing with the rest of their day. Love Island has been hit with Ofcom complaints from viewers raging over Jacques O’Neill’s behaviour towards Paige Thorne . The media watchdog confirmed 69 fans of the ITV2 show had contacted them with concerns over Jacques ’ treatment of Paige, who he branded ‘pathetic’ in the scene which aired on Tuesday June, 28. The episode featured the infamous heart rate challenge which left Paige upset after Jacques’ heart soared for his ex-girlfriend, footballing legend Michael Owen’s daughter, Gemma. A hit-and-run motorist jailed for killing an 18-day-old baby after crashing into his pram has had his sentence increased at the Court of Appeal. James Paul Davis, 36, was driving an unregistered BMW and using his mobile phone when he collided with another car before mounting the pavement, causing the death of Ciaran Leigh Morris . Davis fled the scene of the crash on Brownhills High Street, near Walsall, West Midlands, on Easter Sunday last year. Baby Ciaran's parents had taken him on one of his first trips out when the tragedy happened. His mother was left with a broken collarbone. COUNTRY Singer Toby Keith announced on June 12 that he has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and had undergone surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy. Now that he came out with his diagnosis, fans suspect his tour will be canceled. Toby has been keeping busy since his cancer diagnosis. Sir Michael Wilshaw said the pupils' "physical and educational welfare is at serious risk" following a series of emergency inspections. He said all the schools focused too heavily on Islamic teachings. One of the schools called Ofsted "unprofessional", while another said its findings did not reflect reality. Education Secretary Nicky Morgan says the schools will be closed down if changes are not made quickly.
