WALKING Dead star Scott Wilson has died aged 76 following a battle with leukaemia. The Hollywood legend is believed to have passed away peacefully at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, October 6. Wilson was born in the small Southern town Thomasville in the US state of Georgia on March 29, 1942. His movie career launched in 1967 playing characters suspected of murder in his first three films. Having made the move from cinema to television in early 2011, Wilson was cast as veterinarian, Hershel Greene in the second season of The Walking Dead in June 2011. Aretha Franklin died as a result of pancreatic cancer, it's been confirmed. The Queen of Soul died at 9.50am on Thursday August 16 under hospice care, according to her death certificate. The document, obtained by TMZ, confirms that the cause of Aretha's death was natural. It also reveals that she will be entombed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. The 76-year-old music legend died at her home in Detroit surrounded by family. She was in the final stages of a gruelling eight-year battle with cancer. And it was an advanced form of pancreatic cancer that took her in the end - and saw here shrink to a frail 86lb before her death. Aretha is believed to have first been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2010. She admitted having had a tumour removed but subsequently denied it had returned in 2011. Coronation Street actor Ken Morley claims he has now "cheated death three times" after beating a bout of "killer flu". The 76-year-old soap star, who played supermarket boss Reg Holdsworth on the famous cobbles, was hospitalised for several days in December while appearing in a panto in York. He fought the bug but it's just the latest in a series of health problems the Corrie star has faced after enduring a burst appendix, prostate cancer, angina, and having quadruple heart bypass surgery. Now recovered, Ken told the Daily Star on Sunday that he thought the flu was the "final nail in the coffin".
