According to TMZ, an unknown gunman driving a white Porsche with New Jersey license plates did not hit anyone with his 9mm semi-automatic weapon when he opened fire around 10:30pm. The EU’s chemicals watchdog has concluded that substances found in tattooing inks pose a cancer risk and member states will have to vote on restrictions for 4,000 chemicals currently in use. Why is the risk being highlighted now? The review has been sparked in part by the growing popularity of tattoos, currently 12 per cent of Europeans have one, but this rises to one in four among people aged 18 to 35. Because the dyes used remain in your body permanently there is a lifetime for any harmful chemicals that may be used to have an effect. The EU was also concerned about the lack of oversight of what goes into tattoos. The inks are a blend of several ingredients, and their chemical components are often bought from one supplier to be mixed and sold to distributors and then on to tattoo parlours. Though ingredients are supposed to be thoroughly labelled, especially if they're hazardous, there are no standardised requirements across the EU. THE fashion world has been rocked by the tragic death of Zombie Boy Rick Genest. The Canadian model was found in his apartment in Montreal, Canada, having apparently taken his own life yesterday. He was famed for his heavily tattooed frame and shot to international attention when he starred alongside Lady Gaga in her video for Born This Way. But the 32-year-old led a troubled life, losing half his brain in his teens and living on the rough streets of Montreal as a teen. Genest in fact only developed his obsession with transforming his body after he had 50 per cent of his brain surgically removed at the age of 15. He was born as the eldest of three children in Châteauguay, Quebec on August 7, 1985. Researchers have identified the top 50 things everyone should do before they turn 50 - such as getting a tattoo, seeing the Northern Lights - and having sex on the beach. While many expect to have fallen in love, got married, bought a house and had children by the time they reach the big 5-0, Brits aged over 50 also think you should have learned a second language, quit a job and gone skinny dipping. Staying out all night partying, jumping into a pool fully clothed and learning to say 'no' to your mother also made the list. It also emerged less than four in 10 over 50s have accomplished all of their life aims, with another 39 per cent believing life really does begin at 50.
