Patisserie Valerie currently has more than 150 stores throughout the UK but now it appears the City of Culture will soon be getting its very own sweet treat outlet. Several job adverts have appeared online, including vacancies for a manager and assistant manager. For both positions, they are looking for someone who is passionate about customer service, who is organised with great communication skills and is willing to learn. In return, you will receive on top of your salary flexible working hours, free food, a 50 per cent discount card and continuous training and development. A global fashion brand has signed a significant deal with the UK shoe shop chain schuh. Wigston-based independent streetwear label Hype has announced what it calls "a major agreement" with the retailer to feature its new shoe range across all 135 schuh stores from today (16 April) - including a Highcross branch. The deal co-incides with the launch of Hype's first footwear range, being produced alongside its core range of t-shirts and backpacks. It expands its UK presence to more than 1,350 stockists in 15 countries. Liam Green, Hype co-founder and creative director, said: " Product design and development is what we love to do and the launch of our first footwear range across all of schuh’s stores is a huge moment for the brand. ASDA is selling a large jar of Nutella for £1.50 making it the cheapest available from the supermarkets. A bargain hunter has spotted the deal on the 750g tubs of the chocolate spread in a shop in Waterlooville - but stock might vary from store to store. The supermarket is likely to have dropped the prices in a bid to shift its Easter stock. SCHOOL holidays, birthday parties and having someone else cook your meals are among the things adults miss most from their childhoods, a study has found. Playing with Lego, the Sega Mega Drive and sitting down with a huge toy catalogue to write birthday and Christmas wish lists are also among the things people miss. Having a friend around for tea, Roald Dahl books and having cereal like Coco Pops or Golden Nuggets for breakfast instead of muesli or porridge also made the list. A poll of 2,000 adults revealed 67 per cent yearn for their younger years with four in ten admitting they consider them to be the best time of their lives. Interestingly, researchers found some differences between the generations, with baby boomers admitting they long for the days of Enid Blyton books, Meccano and collecting stickers.
