Ronan Keating ‘an absolute mess’ after seeing son Jack make his Love Island debut after 6 weeks in hiding
Ronan Keating playfully admitted that he’s been on edge after seeing his son Jack enter the Love Island villa during Friday’s episode. The 23-year-old singleton has been getting on well in the villa so far and fans saw him bonding with Gemma Owen , with the two sharing stories of celebrity dads. So far, it looks like Jack has his sights set on the international dressage rider, 19, but it seems unlikely that her head will turn from fishmonger Luca Bish. Before making his way into Casa Amor , the Life Is A Rollercoaster hitmaker, 45, took to Instagram to repost Jack’s own Love Island announcement, writing: ‘Let’s go.’ However, a couple of days have passed and it seems like Ronan’s excitement has turned into panic. Speaking to co-hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas during Monday’s edition of The One Show, Alex asked how he felt watching his son getting his graft on. ‘I’m a mess, I’m an absolute mess,’ Ronan said. ‘I mean Storm [stepmum] is doing better … [Read more...] about Ronan Keating ‘an absolute mess’ after seeing son Jack make his Love Island debut after 6 weeks in hiding

Erik ten Hag has been impressed by three Manchester United youngsters during pre-season so far and believes they can challenge the club’s senior players, according to reports. The Dutchman took charge of training for the first time last week, with the club’s non-international stars and academy players all reporting for duty. They have now been joined by the rest of the squad – save for the wantaway Cristiano Ronaldo , who has been permitted to remain in Portugal – though United’s more established players may have some catching up to do. According to The Sun , a trio of teenagers have already made a big impression on Ten Hag over the past week and are vying for a place in the first-team squad. M4 brought to ‘standstill’ by fuel protesters targeting rush hour traffic
Police have warned of ‘serious disruption throughout the day’ in Britain – as protesters target motorways in protest over high fuel prices. Rolling roadblocks have brought parts of the M4 to a standstill. People in queues of traffic have even been filmed playing football on an empty carriageway. Campaigners have so far focused on a stretch of motorway between Bristol and South Wales, including the Prince of Wales Severn bridge crossing. This morning, a convoy of 20 vehicles set off from the Magor services on the M4, near Caldicot in South Wales. Drivers taking part in the protest plan to slow to 30mph in lanes one and two of affected roads. Others told officers they planned to meet ‘in the middle’ and block the motorway. Mobile welder Richard Dite, 44, told reporters it is costing him over £300 in fuel to get to work every week due to price hikes. He added: ‘My only option soon will be to put the welding gear in the shed and call it a day, maybe go on the … [Read more...] about M4 brought to ‘standstill’ by fuel protesters targeting rush hour traffic

Government to publish White Paper on gambling reform in coming weeks
The Government has said it will publish a White Paper into gambling reform in coming weeks. The Prime Minister is set to announce restrictions on the industry as part of the review of the 2005 Gambling Act amid concerns current regulations require changes to accommodate the growth of online betting. The Times reported proposals to prohibit gambling companies from shirt sponsorship were set to be rejected in favour of reaching a voluntary agreement with Premier League clubs, while also keeping the option of legislation in reserve. A spokesperson for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport refused to comment on speculation, but added: “We are undertaking the most comprehensive review of gambling laws in 15 years to ensure they are fit for the digital age. “We will be publishing a White Paper as part of a review of gambling legislation in the coming weeks.” Recommended Over £130m handed to housing providers named and shamed by … [Read more...] about Government to publish White Paper on gambling reform in coming weeks
