A 34-year-old man has been charged with murder following the sudden death of a woman on Teesside. Police were called to a report of the death of a 55-year-old woman on Ingram Road in the Berwick Hills area of Middlesbrough at 9:30 am on Wednesday. An investigation was launched and a number of emergency service vehicles cordoned off the area. A forensic team also attended the scene around Ibstock House, a block of flats next to a derelict pub. WRC orders college to pay €35,000 to 55-year-old lecturer over age discrimination

Police reissue appeal to find 55-year-old woman who may be without medication
Police are continuing to appeal for help in the search for a missing 55-year-old woman who may be without her medication. Lorraine Edwards was last seen in the Canning Circus area of Nottingham at about 7pm on Tuesday, October 16. Officers say they are concerned Lorraine, who has ongoing medical conditions, does not have her daily medication with her. Lorraine is white, of medium build and is around 5ft 3ins tall. She has short, black hair and was last seen wearing a blue padded jacket with an orange and red flower pattern on it (pictured), a grey skirt with black pattern on it and black shoes. Lorraine often visits the city centre, say police. Burton man arrested after 55-year-old stabbed in Winshill street
A man has been arrested after a 55-year-old man was stabbed in a Winshill residential street yesterday. Emergency services were called to an incident in Hawfield Lane just before 6pm last night, Sunday, October 8, to reports that somebody had been stabbed. Staffordshire Police told the Burton Mail that a 55-year-old man was treated by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and taken to Queen's Hospital, in Burton, and had suffered a single stab would in the back. Officers from the police force are currently investigating the incident and have arrested a 22-year-old man.
