A 12-year-old boy has already been dead for two weeks and should be taken off life support, a High Court judge has ruled in a landmark case. Doctors treating Archie Battersbee at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, east London, thought that the child was “brain-stem dead”. It is thought to be the first time someone has been declared “likely” to be dead based on an MRI scan, which the court heard is not as reliable as the usual brain stem test. They said that life-support treatment should end and the boy should be disconnected from a ventilator, prompting a court battle as his parents, Hollie Dance and Paul Battersbee, pointed out that his heart is still beating. Archie was found unconscious at home in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, on April 7 and he has not regained consciousness since. Celebrity Juice has been scrapped after 14 years - but the writing has seeminly been on the wall for a long time. After 26 series and nearly 300 episodes, the outrageous ITV2 panel show is coming to an end with two farewell specials celebrating all of Juice's maddest moments. Keith Lemon, who has hosted the series since the very first episode in 2008, said: "I remember doing the first episode thinking wow that was fun! In the V/O in opening titles I said it was the best telly show on telly. "Whatever you thought of it, it was definitely the best fun making it. An amazing team, and amazing guests, but all good things must come to an end. "I'll miss it, and everyone so much, but on to the next chapter and I look forward to going out in style on the specials! All t' best and good luck with ya business!" R Kelly's musical accomplishments have been accompanied by a long history of allegations that he sexually abused women and children. Now the R&B singer has been sentenced to spend the next three decades behind bars. A jury found Kelly guilty in September of sex trafficking charges. While Kelly, born Robert Sylvester Kelly, has vehemently denied the allegations, his accusers testified in detail that he subjected them to perverse and sadistic whims when they were underage. More info The former Dr Who takes on the role of necrophile Dennis Nilsen, who murdered at least 12 young men over five years in London. He was convicted of six murders and two attempted murders. The programme is called Des – Nilsen’s nickname – and is based on  the book Killing for Company by Brian Masters. The author had a correspondence with the killer after his arrest in 1983.
