A video calling for former President Donald Trump to be "locked up" has been viewed more than 1 million times. The video was posted to the Meidas Touch Twitter feed on Wednesday. According to the page, Meidas Touch was created with the intent of "protecting American democracy, defeating Trumpism and holding Republicans accountable." The video highlighted words from some of Trump's previous speeches regarding classified documents. The video comes after Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida was raided by the FBI in search of classified documents. A TikTok clip showing the reality star reaching into a woman’s purse as part of a gag during the show has more than four million views as of Thursday, especially after the woman claimed Watkins pocketed her money without permission. The man accused of stabbing Sir Salman Rushdie on stage last week has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and assault charges. Hadi Matar , 24, was held without bail during a court hearing in New York state on Thursday. Sir Salman was stabbed around 12 times, including in the face and neck, last Friday as he was about to deliver a lecture near Lake Erie. The British-Indian author suffered severe and "life-changing" injuries in the attack in New York state, his family said. Matar has been charged with one count of second-degree attempted murder, which carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison, and one count of second-degree assault.
