Hard rockers Airbourne are the latest act to be added to the line-up for the Ramblin' Man Fair this summer.The band, who have been walking the rock ‘n’ roll path since their early teenage years, will play the main stage as special guests on the Sunday of the festival, to be held in Mote Park, Maidstone, from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21. They last played the festival in 2016.It will be its fifth year in the park this summer, with acts last year including Mott the Hoople and Steel Panther laid on by organisers Spirit of Rock.Airbourne frontman Joel O'Keeffe said: "And Ramblin' Man rambles on. Friday night’s performance of Our House, a musical written by composer Tim Firth and inspired by the songs of ska-pop band Madness, has brought real magic to Colne.It tells of 16-year-old Joe who takes out the girl of his dreams, Sarah, on the night of his birthday, only to land himself in trouble when he breaks into a building site in a bid to impress her.When the police turn up, he must choose between fleeing and taking responsibility, either decision having huge consequences for the rest of his life.Our House marks another solid innings in a lead role for Barrowford singer Josh Hindle, who plays Joe. The School of magic is coming to Haddo House near Methlick this summer. As soon as you enter the school grounds you will be immersed in a fantasy festival.The three-hour school day is a role playing experience for people of all ages.On arrival you will be split into your house and greeted by your house goblin.During your time in the school you will attend various classes, including: potion making, magical defence, cryptozoology, summoning and many more.Keep an eye out for creatures and dark wizards on your travel between classes. Owners of a garden near Sleaford are to open it to the public next month as part of the National Gardens Scheme. Aswarby Park will open on Sunday, April 7, from 1pm to 5pm. The formal and woodland garden is set in a parkland of 20 acres. Highlights include a large display of daffodils and climbing roses in season. Admission is £4.50 for adults, free for children.
