Nintendo’s "Sports'' series is finally back in motion after 15 years with the new Nintendo Switch Sports. The new sports-themed motion-controlled game tries to build on the success of the 2006 game that pioneered motion controls - the Nintendo Wii hit, Wii Sports. The original Wii Sports was made up of simple sports minigames that demonstrated brand new motion-controlled technology, using the player's movements to correspond with actions in-game. This not only proved fun and hilarious to watch, but it also lowered the entry requirements for more casual gamers causing a huge surge in the popularity of the seventh-generation console it was bundled with. ( Image: Nintendo) Wii Sports only had 5 games, while Wii Resort had 12. Switch Sports sees some new and some returning games to the simple formula with six games: Volleyball, Soccer, Badminton, Tennis, Bowling, and Chambara, with Golf also being added later in Autumn. The graphics are clean looking and colourful but … [Read more...] about Nintendo Switch Sports Review: Motion controlled madness returns in a fun but fleeting sporting title

Joe Cole issues BT Sports demand as he looks like “a mascot” next to Peter Crouch
Former Chelsea and Liverpool ace Joe Cole hilariously demanded BT Sports to move him closer to the camera so he does not “look like a mascot” when he is standing next to former Tottenham ace Peter Crouch. Cole has entrenched himself as one of the most loved and respected pundits in the country, regularly starring on BT Sports’ Premier League , Champions League , and Europa League coverage. Unfortunately for Cole, he regularly finds himself in the all-too familiar position of having to look up to the people he is working with. The 40-year-old was regularly pitched against defenders and midfielders significantly taller than he was, at a time when football in England was more direct and supposedly ‘route one’. And Cole suggested he should be moved closer to the attention so the height difference between himself, Crouch, and BT Sports presenter Jake Humphrey is not so obvious. “Whenever they set us up, I should always be closest to the camera,” Cole staunchly demanded … [Read more...] about Joe Cole issues BT Sports demand as he looks like “a mascot” next to Peter Crouch

‘F*** You TV!’ Tom Brady Rant On Sports Media Goes Viral After He Inks Deal With Fox Sports | The Daily Wire
A sports media rant featuring football legend Tom Brady went viral just days after he announced his post-retirement plan: a spot on Fox Sports. In the video, released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady appears to explain that blowing off the comments and analyses of television commentators after a loss helps to keep them from getting in his head while he needs to remain focused on the game. . @TomBrady does watch media critics' reaction following a rare loss. “I just look at the TV and I go ‘F-ck you guys, f-ck you.” – with two middle fingers raised. “You block out the noise, because none of it matters.” [ @Buccaneers ] pic.twitter.com/jfr76Vxltf — Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) May 17, 2022 Brady said that while he does watch the critics after a loss, he doesn’t do it to hear their advice. “I just look at the TV and I go like this,” Brady said, flipping both middle fingers at the camera. “F*** you guys, f*** you TV,” Brady continued, flashing a smile. Games Inbox: PS Plus Premium disappointment, Silent Hill 2 praise, and EA Sports FC predictions
The Tuesday letters page is confused as to how Sony is handling the PS Plus reveals, as a reader hopes a XCOM 3 announcement is imminent. To join in with the discussions yourself email [email protected] Reasonable questions PS Plus announcement from Sony is… kind of bad? Why wouldn’t they announce all the games at the same time? Why is all this being done via low effort blog posts? Why are the PS Plus Premium games so especially bad? How do you start a major new retro service and not have a single PlayStation 2 game? You know, games from the most successful home console ever made? As you can see, I have many questions about the new PS Plus and Sony’s bizarre way of promoting it. I know they weren’t keen on it being compared to Game Pass but, believe me, nobody is doing that right now, because it’s obvious that Microsoft’s take on the same idea is a whole letter better. This just all seems very random and badly organised, like someone’s homework rushed … [Read more...] about Games Inbox: PS Plus Premium disappointment, Silent Hill 2 praise, and EA Sports FC predictions
Manchester United backed for stunning move for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante by Paul Parker
Paul Parker has backed his former side Manchester United to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer, who he believes would be an excellent signing for the Red Devils. The Mirror reported last week that Kane has emerged as a target for United, with incoming manager Erik ten Hag keen to add the Frenchman to his ranks. The 31-year-old still has a year left on his Chelsea contract and has made 40 appearances for the Blues this season, so there is little suggestion that they want to get rid of him, especially during the turbulent time they are going through regarding their ownership. However, Parker would love to see the midfielder at Old Trafford, believing he would bring a lot to a team that has lacked his ball-winning skills. ‘He (Kante) will improve Manchester United ’s midfield a hundred per cent,’ Parker told indiabetting.co.in . ‘Because he can go and get the ball out of people without always fouling them. ‘He doesn’t go around looking to hurt … [Read more...] about Manchester United backed for stunning move for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante by Paul Parker

Footballers coming out: What’s the situation elsewhere in Europe?
He's not even an adult yet but Jake Daniels showed maturity beyond his years when he became the only active male professional footballer to come out as gay. The 17-year-old, who plays for Blackpool in England's second tier, was widely praised for his courage. But what's the situation elsewhere in Europe? In France , no active professional footballer has ever come out. French striker Olivier Rouyer revealed he was gay after retiring as a player and coach. Last weekend, players in France's Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 were asked to wear rainbow colours on their shirts as part of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia on 17 May. But Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder Idrissa Gueye was omitted from the club's match against Montpellier for "personal reasons".
[Read more...] about Le footballeur australien Josh Cavallo révèle son homosexualité
