Extreme metal band Napalm Death could join pop superstars Little Mix and Jess Glynne at a major MTV music festival , according to bookmakers. Bookies have the legendary Midlands act - famed for their short and brutal songs - at a staggering 12/1 to star at MTV Music Week , a four-day pop event in Plymouth, this summer. The cult rockers, who played to a packed crowd at genre-spanning Boomtown last summer , are being more hotly tipped than mainstream acts like Professor Green to be on the bill in June, according to Paddy Power. Napalm Death, who formed in 1981 and describe themselves as "the fathers of grind", are infamous for their short songs and indecipherable vocals. He is one of Britain's biggest comedians who can comfortably sell out arenas across the country but there's a chance to see Michael McIntyre in more intimate surroundings in Nottingham next month. The Big World Tour, which came to Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena last March for four dates (review here), continues to roll around the world and ahead of a run across Australia and New Zealand the TV host is doing a handful of warm-up shows across the UK. One assumes he's tweaked the set since he started out on the mammoth tour in April 2017. It includes a date at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham on Wednesday, March 6. Tickets are still available - all are priced £30 plus booking fee - from Ticketmaster. The show starts at 8pm. Support comes from Paul Tonkinson.
