Now that the excitement of the TOTY announcement is over, it's almost time to get ready for the weekly FIFA 19 TOTW announcement. There have been FA Cup matches and not so much Premier League football, so this week's prediction is extremely difficult to call, but there there are a few players who should definitely be present - including Manchester United's hero and Manchester City's goalscoring machine. Here are our predictions for players who are most likely to be included in the FIFA 19 Ultimate Team TOTW Week 18. David De Gea - GK Fresh from his TOTY inclusion, De Gea was unbeatable in Manchester United's win over Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday. The Spaniard made 11 saves in the second half alone, proving to be an immovable object in the United goal. His inclusion in this week's TOTW is surely guaranteed. Kurt Zouma - CB Zouma has endured mixed fortunes at Everton so far, but he might find himself in the TOTW thanks to his goal against Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend. … [Read more...] about FIFA 19 Ultimate Team TOTW prediction: Who’s played their way in?
There could be good news on the Man City injury front as it appears goalkeeper Claudio Bravo could return from the sidelines sooner than expected. It was initially predicted that the Chilean would miss the entirety of the season after rupturing his achilles tendon, forcing manager Pep Guardiola to promote Aro Muric to number two. But he recently shared a video of himself running on a cross trainer, which could point to an earlier than anticipated return for the shot stopped. The video was in response to reports in Chile that Bravo had suffered an infection post surgery and would not only be ruled out for the season but also this summer's Copa America. The reports were denied by the Blues. Another player to return from injury - hopefully sooner - is left-back Benjamin Mendy, who has been out since November after undergoing knee surgery. Pep Guardiola recently offered an update on the Frenchman's condition and he should be back in action for when the Champions League resumes in … [Read more...] about Man City injury news: Latest on Mendy, Bravo and Kompany

Joe Worrall's future is a hot topic now Nottingham Forest have a new manager in Martin O'Neill. The 22-year-old centre-back was loaned out to Rangers for the season by former Reds boss Aitor Karanka. But O'Neill might have different plans for the England Under-21 international, especially because he has walked into a defensive crisis at the City Ground. The Reds have been so short of centre-backs that midfielder Claudio Yacob has been drafted into the heart of defence in the last couple of matches. The situation might prompt O'Neill to recall Worrall, who has played 11 games for Steven Gerrard's Rangers in the Scottish Premiership this season as they battle Celtic for the title. Former Rangers captain Terry Butcher says it's "ironic" O'Neill, a former Celtic boss, could deal their Old Firm rivals Rangers a blow in the title race by recalling Worrall from Ibrox. “It is ironic Martin is now the manager of Forest," he told the Daily Record. “Will he deprive Rangers and bring … [Read more...] about Why it would be ‘ironic’ if Martin O’Neill recalled Worrall to Forest
Upon Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, as well as the standard best United XIs there was also a best opposition XI the Scot had faced during his 26-and-a-half-year premiership. There were three standout goalkeeping candidates. Juventus great Gianluigi Buffon only started once against United, who put three past him in Turin in 2003. Iker Casillas was in inspired form during Real Madrid's 3-2 victory at Old Trafford in 2000 but only appeared three times against United. The worthiest inclusion was Petr Cech. The Chelsea side Cech played in was maybe the most daunting Ferguson's United ever triumphed over. Arsene Wenger's Arsenal raised the bar once, twice and thrice, yet United's 2007 championship against Jose Mourinho's first Chelsea side is maybe the finest of the Ferguson era, save the breakthrough title in 1993. Cech's arrival in England in the summer of 2004 coincided with United's period of goalkeeping uncertainty. Tim Howard never regained his self-assuredness after he … [Read more...] about What Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson said about Petr Cech
