May 12, 2022 by www.mirror.co.uk

1More is known for making a wide range of premium and stylish headphones and earbuds. Their selection features products that have been specially designed to accommodate different scenarios from gaming, fitness and music listening. All of their headphones are said to have been tuned by award-winning sound engineer Luca Bignardi which should ensure quality. After the positive reception of their PistonBuds Pro earbuds, 1More is releasing their newest flagship earbud the 1More Evo which looks to compete with the market leaders. The Evo earbuds look slick with their sleek compact bodies that fit securely in your ear. They come in black with a glossy back panel that features 1More’s logo. The earbuds feel sturdy and durable, my only issue is that the glossy back will be susceptible to fingerprints since it’s the base for the touch controls. 1More Evo True Wireless earbuds are their latest flagship earbuds ( Image: 1More) The ear tips feel really comfortable without … [Read more...] about 1More Evo True Wireless earbuds review: Premium flagship earbuds that offer an amazing audio experience

Who, what, why: How dangerous are elderly drivers?

September 23, 2013 by www.bbc.co.uk

Published 23 September 2013 Share close Share page Copy link About sharing The number of over-70s who hold a UK driving licence has exceeded four million for the first time. But how dangerous are older drivers? There are occasional very well-publicised stories about elderly drivers going the wrong way on a motorway or dual carriageway. Only last week an 84-year-old woman died after driving the wrong way on the A1 in Northumberland. The RAC Foundation says the UK's oldest licensed driver is a 107-year-old woman, and there are 191 people over the age of 100 with a licence. They are among 4,018,900 people aged over 70 with full UK driving licences. But how dangerous are older drivers? The Department for Transport (DfT) says there is no evidence older drivers are more likely to cause an accident, and it has no plans to restrict licensing or mandate extra training on the basis of age. … [Read more...] about Who, what, why: How dangerous are elderly drivers?

Do driver awareness courses make roads safer?

June 22, 2016 by www.bbc.co.uk

Danny Shaw @DannyShawBBC on Twitter Published 22 June 2016 Share close Share page Copy link About sharing Early on a Saturday morning I found myself in the basement of a hotel in the company of 12 strangers. The air conditioning was on at full blast; the atmosphere between us was also rather chilly. This was our "sentence" for committing a minor motoring offence - and none of us wanted to be there. We were on a driver awareness course called What's Driving Us? It was that, or accept a £100 fine and three penalty points. No contest, really. Over the next three hours there were discussions, presentations and role-play. None of us embraced it with any great enthusiasm - we just wanted to "tick the box" and let the weekend begin. My crime? I had jumped a red light driving up the A10 in north London and was spotted by a CCTV camera. The road ahead … [Read more...] about Do driver awareness courses make roads safer?

‘I lied to them for months’: Buffalo shooting suspect kept plans from family

May 17, 2022 by www.stuff.co.nz

For months, as 18-year-old Payton Gendron formulated a plan to kill dozens of black people in Buffalo, New York state, he worked to keep his racist plot a secret from his family, according to Gendron's postings online. "I literally can't wait any longer, my parents know something is wrong," he wrote on April 15, musing about when to carry out a planned shooting that took place on Saturday, killing 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket. The writings were uploaded to internet file-sharing sites in two batches in recent weeks after apparently being posted on the messaging platform Discord from November 2021 through early May. They reveal a teenager intent on keeping his parents in the dark not only about preparations for mass murder but also about the quotidian details of his life. They help fill out a portrait of a young man who described himself as isolated from family and as someone who had few friends and found refuge in hate. Buffalo mass shooting suspect allegedly detailed animal abuse in writings

May 18, 2022 by abcnews.go.com

The white teenager suspected of fatally shooting 10 people at a Buffalo, New York, grocery store in what authorities say was a racially motivated attack allegedly also took part in animal abuse, according to a document authorities say he posted online that was obtained by ABC News. Among those alleged online writings he shared on the social media platform Discord, 18-year-old Payton Gendron allegedly detailed taking part in animal abuse in which he killed a cat, according to the document. Within the writings reviewed by ABC News, Gendron alleged that his mother gave him a box to bury the cat he said he killed. On a conference call Tuesday with state and local partners, law enforcement officials said that Gendron began posting threads to Discord regarding body armor in the summer of 2021, according to a source familiar with the phone call. In April of 2022, the threads also appeared to show that he spoke about wanting to taunt federal law enforcement, officials on the call … [Read more...] about Buffalo mass shooting suspect allegedly detailed animal abuse in writings

I hacked into Nasa to find proof of UFOs – I saw cigar-shaped alien craft among thousands of photos & US must come clean

May 18, 2022 by www.thesun.co.uk

A HACKER who broke into Nasa's computers to find proof of UFOs claims he discovered a picture of a mysterious alien craft shaped like a cigar amongst thousands of other photos. Brit cyber sleuth Gary McKinnon was accused of perpetrating the "biggest military computer hack of all time" when he broke into 97 US government computers. US prosecutors wanted him jailed for up to 60 years, but his extradition from the UK was blocked after a ten-year legal battle and he remains a free man. Now 56, Gary said he did no harm and was merely looking for evidence that US government was actively covering up UFOs . And he told The Sun Online what he found left him "gobsmacked" as he stumbled across thousands of photos during his cyber sting. "It's a fact that there are objects we don't understand flying around in our skies , it's also a fact that there are scientific, intelligence and military departments that study these objects," Gary said. Chinese airliner with 132 people on board ‘was crashed deliberately’

May 18, 2022 by metro.co.uk

A Chinese airliner which nosedived into the side of a mountain was likely crashed deliberately, investigators believe. All 132 people on board the flight were killed when a China Eastern Airlines mysteriously dropped from the sky over a remote area of the Guangxi region on March 21. Teams in Beijing and Washington are trying to piece together what happened to the US-made Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with no evidence pointing to a mechanical or technical failure. The plane was travelling at cruising altitude between Kunming and Guangzhou when it suddenly dropped to the ground, the worst aviation disaster on mainland China in 28 years. It has previously been reported that the plane’s pilots did not respond to radio messages from air control during the rapid descent. Experts familiar with the work of the US probe now believe evidence recovered from the black box points to an intentional downing. The full findings are yet to be released but officials familiar with the … [Read more...] about Chinese airliner with 132 people on board ‘was crashed deliberately’
