It's known as one of the biggest shopping days of the year, which is increasingly attracting more and more retailers to take part. We are, of course, talking about Black Friday , the American tradition firmly adopted by both stores and shoppers here in the UK. It operates similar to Boxing Day when the majority of retailer roll out a sale of some sort to help bring in more customers. However, Black Friday is more than just one day, instead retailer's begin releasing offers as early as two weeks before. Cineworld - which opened just a week ago - is offering viewers to ultimate cinema experience with new immersive technology ScreenX. Officially launched globally in 2015, ScreenX is the world’s first multi-projection cinema technology - it creates a 270-degree viewing experience by expanding the cinema screen to the side auditorium walls and appeals to viewers’ front and peripheral vision. Cineworld Speke is one of the first UK cinemas to install the new technology, followed closely by Cineworld Leeds White Rose, which launches ScreenX in September. This new technology comes from CJ 4DPLEX - the same team who created 4DX, Cineworld’s sensory cinema experience. Manchester United are preparing for Matteo Darmian to stay beyond tonight's Serie A transfer deadline. Italian clubs Juventus, Internazionale and Napoli have all shown interest in Darmian this summer but United are yet to receive an acceptable offer for the 28-year-old. Juve have already signed right-back Joao Cancelo, Inter recruited Sime Vrsaljko while Napoli bought one-time United target Kevin Malcuit. The Serie A window closes at 7pm UK time this evening. United sources have said 'nothing is happening' about a possible departure for the Italian and indicated they hope Darmian stays as he is a 'great professional'. A plan for a massive warehouse development in Greater Manchester, which could new 1,650 jobs, has been submitted. Manchester-based logistics developer DB Symmetry wants to develop a 1.44 million sq ft scheme on farmland in Wigan just off the M6. The development, known as Symmetry Park Wigan, will be in Winstanley, between Junction 25 of the M6 and the A49 Warrington Road, on the site of a former colliery. The masterplan includes new access from the A49 roundabout, on-site parking with service yards located away from residential areas, and a substantial green buffer to the north to provide a barrier with residential areas. The proposed site is within the Green Belt, but is designated a proposed employment site in the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework (GMSF). DB Symmetry claim the construction investment is worth £73m and will give Wigan Council £3m a year in business rates payments.
