Matty (played by Ash Palmisciano) has been hellbent on getting revenge on the woman who gave his sister money for drugs which led to her fatal overdose. However, Emmerdale fans spotted a flaw in his plan as he planted drugs in the boot of Suzy’s (Martelle Edinborough) car.

Matty has been planning his revenge on Suzy for her part in Holly Barton’s (Sophie Powles) death.
During the latest episode of the ITV soap, Matty found some drugs belonging to Leyla Harding’s (Roxy Shahidi) dealer and he brazenly stole the bag and planted it in Suzy’s boot using a crowbar.
He later called the police and hoped he could frame Suzy for having a stash of cocaine in her car.
However, many fans of the village drama kicked off on Twitter over a major DNA blunder Matty made.

Telma said: “Matty. Touching the drugs and trying to frame someone else? DNA will go back to Matty.”
Dan added: “How dumb is Matty, his, Leyla's and Callum's fingerprints are gonna be on the drugs, not Suzy's. #Emmerdale.” (sic)
Darren quipped: “Ever heard of fingerprints Matty? #Emmerdale.”
Sharon raged: “Just how thick do the @emmerdale think us viewers are? The bag Matty is going to obviously plant on Suzy, has his fingerprints on, Leyla's most likely and the drug dealers, but Suzy won’t be as she doesn't know about it! So how can she get done for having it?” (sic)

Michelle asked: “Was moron Matty even wearing gloves when he handled that bag of drugs?”
@Lalavie444 fumed: “#Emmerdale Matty is such a silly useless fool. This sudden “vendetta” is as stupid as it is laughable and is making the character seem even more pathetic than usual. Zero personality.”
Despite his best efforts to frame Suzy, Matty’s plan was foiled after a desperate call for a karaoke machine caused Leyla to find drug dealer Callum’s missing gear.
While she took the bag of drugs back and told the dealer where they were found, Suzy was later pulled over by the police.

Matty watched on, hoping his plan would turn out to be a success.
However, he was left disappointed when officers released her and it was later revealed there was only equipment in the boot rather than anything illegal.
The actor who plays Matty, Ash, opened up about his character’s desire for revenge and how this will impact him going forward.
He said: “Matty's a good guy, he's not vindictive and feels he has a strong moral compass and feels he has to stop her from what she's been doing.

“He really believes it is the best for everybody and it's going to stop further people from dying in the future.
“He really believes that she is an awful person that doesn't care about young people.
“He wants to stop her from dealing drugs, especially on his home turf – he's not happy about that. He wants to put a stop to it.”
Ash said Matty’s goal is to see Suzy behind bars “to pay for what she has done”.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights a 7.30pm on ITV.
