Emotional Britney Spears poses with ‘very private’ teenage sons in rare family snap

Britney Spears has shared a touching birthday tribute to her two beloved sons.

The princess of pop, 39, who shares Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, lamented on times gone by as she shared her disbelief at how grown up her boys have become.

The Hit Me Baby One More Time hitmaker took to Instagram to share the sweet tribute where she told fans that she cried for two days after realising her boys are now young men.

Britney also revealed that she was forced to ask Sean and Jayden for permission to use their photo in her Instagram tribute due to the fact they are both incredibly private people – despite the fact their mum is one of the biggest stars on the planet.

Alongside a gorgeous snap of Britney cuddling her two boys, the singer penned: "’My boys’ birthdays were last week … and unfortunately they are growing up and want to do their own things.

"I have to ask their permission to post them because they are extremely independent little men.

"It makes me crazy because they are so tall and geez they are still growing," she added.

Britney went on to describe how she felt when she saw her boys head off to their first major social event as teenagers.

The singer said the experience moved her tears as she realised just how grown up Sean and Jayden had become.

"They went to a dance last week and I cried for two days. My babies in a suit !!! It’s crazy !!!

"And girls get ready cause my boys are so handsome," Britney quipped.

Britney concluded the emotional post by expressing her pride for her two boys.

"I will tell you they are both extremely talented and I’m so incredibly blessed to have these two little men in my life," the star lovingly shared.

"And if they’re reading this – which I’m pretty sure they’re not – I love you two little devils so much."

Britney welcomed Sean and Jayden into her life in 2005 and 2006.

A year after Jayden's birth, Britney filed for divorce from her husband and their union was formally dissolved in 2007.

Following their divorce, a court battle resulted in the boys' dad Kevin being awarded physical and legal custody of the pair.

The broke Britney's heart at the time, but she was later granted visitation rights, and since then, she's been spending more quality time with her sons over the years.
