Disneyland Paris is giving its iconic Disneyland hotel a major makeover – and it’s going to be a hit with fans of the Disney princesses including Belle, Cinderella and Elsa.
The five-star hotel is already ridiculously dreamy from its location at the entrance of the Disneyland theme park to the character meet and greets and swish rooms, but now it’s going to become the first Disney Hotel to get a fully royal theme.
Think decor that’s inspired by some of those classic tales including Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, as well as more recent hits from Tangled to Frozen.
Disney has remained fairly tight-lipped about exactly what will be on offer, although it has released a teaser artist’s impression of one of the rooms and it looks as magical as you’d expect.
We’re talking lavish interiors, big beds, crown-themed architecture and of course, large artwork dedicated to the princesses – in this case, Cinderella.
The company has said that all of the hotel rooms and suites will be “entirely rethemed to offer the most immersive experience”, while the public areas will be a tribute to the films and characters.
It’s not just the rooms and suites which will be transformed. As part of the refurbishment there will be other perks such as a larger pool area, an expanded spa, and updated restaurants and bars.
Sylvie Massara, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris – Design and Show Quality., said of the project: “At Disneyland Paris, we create enchanting experiences for all ages.
"The completely refurbished Disneyland Hotel will do just that, immersing guests in a timeless royal atmosphere. Guests will be welcomed with unique refinement as soon as they enter the lobby and will stay in rooms and suites with elegant décor celebrating Disney Princesses and Princes.”
It’s not yet been confirmed when the refurbishment will be completed.

Of course the Disneyland Hotel makeover isn’t the only exciting new hotel news for Disneyland Paris.
The highly-anticipated Marvel-inspired hotel, Disney's Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, is set to open its doors with heaps of superhero props, artwork and themed suites. The four-star hotel will be decked out to look like a ‘New York art gallery’ and will in fact house one of the largest collections of Marvel artwork in the world, with over 300 items on display.
Meanwhile, other updates have seen the Cars stories added to Disney’s Santa Fe hotel, as well as Toy Story themed rooms at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne.
At the time of writing, Disneyland Paris is currently closed due to ongoing lockdown restrictions in France. You can find more information on disneylandparis.com .
