The Duchess of Cambridge has unveiled the findings of the UK’s biggest-ever study on raising children under five, highlighting that parents often feel judged and many have felt increasingly lonely and isolated during the pandemic.Over half a million people answered the Duchess of Cambridge’s call in January to answer five key questions about the early years of bringing up children. The research found that people overwhelmingly believe that a child’s future is not pre-determined at birth, but most people don’t understand the specific importance of the early years. It also found that 70% of parents feel judged by others, and that the number of parents feeling lonely has dramatically increased during the pandemic. The launch of the findings has been described as a milestone moment for the Duchess of Cambridge’s work on early childhood.
