With Christmas on the way the Queen is getting ready for her festive retreat at Sandringham. But before she heads to Norfolk, she has a duty to approve all royal decorations across all royal residences. In Channel 5’s documentary, ‘Inside Sandringham: Holidaying with the Queen’, it’s revealed how the 93-year-old oversee the festive preparations. Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter said the Christmas trees look no different than any other. He said: “It is decorated in much the same way as people throughout the United Kingdom decorate their tree. “You’ve got the baubles, the tinsel, the coloured lights.” The tree at the Sandringham estate will put on the decorations, of which Prince Philip to put a gold star at the top of the tree. Royal insider Claudia Joseph said: “He’s quite a stalwart and won’t let other people take control. “When any young children comes they put their own decorations on.” The Duke is said to be signing every Christmas card sent by the Queen.
