While The Living Room will not return to Channel 10 in 2020, the show’s current lineup will be back next year on a new lifestyle program in the same timeslot.
Hosts Amanda Keller, Dr. Chris Brown, Miguel Maestre and Barry Du Bois have all jumped on board with the network’s new in-house lifestyle show, which is currently still untitled.
Channel 10 head of programming Daniel Monaghan told TV Blackbox that the Logie Award-winning show isn’t dead yet.

‘Well it’s not coming back in 2020 [but] I’m not going to use the word axed,’ he said cryptically.
Amanda told her WSFM listeners that the same show will continue under a different name.
‘The four of us will be fronting a lifestyle show, but it may not be called, actually I don’t think it will be called The Living Room,’ she confirmed.
Same thing, different name: Amanda confirmed to her WSFM that all four hosts would be fronting a ‘lifestyle show’, but it won’t be called The Living Room
Network sources have suggested a similar show will emerge under another name, but that it will be produced in-house at Channel 10, rather than by the former Living Room producers WTFN.
‘We are thrilled that the brilliant [Living Room] team will be back at 7.30 on Friday nights next year,’ Network 10 said over the weekend.
The hosts are currently signed directly to Channel 10, which explains their alignment to the network’s other programs.

One of the few examples was the Amazing Race Australia’s third season being produced by Seven, whereas the first two seasons were produced by Active TV.
It is more common for the reverse to occur, with Nine originally producing Married At First Sight in house before handing it to Endemol Shine and The Voice also switching producers.
The final episode of The Living Room will be aired on Friday December 20, before the variant show returns in 2020.
