She’s been busy on the promotional circuit with her new fantasy series Carnival Row, in which she plays a refugee fairy called Vignette Stonemoss.
And Cara Delevingne’s efforts took her to her hometown on Wednesday night, when she joined her co-star Orlando Bloom for a premiere at London’s Ham Yard Hotel.
And despite her recent flurry of acting roles, the 27-year-old has insisted that she hasn’t turned her back on her first love, modelling.
Big night out: Cara Delevingne and Orlando Bloom attended the London premiere of their new Amazon series Carnival Row at the Ham Yard Hotel on Wednesday night
When asked if she’ll return to the catwalk, she told MailOnline: ‘Return? I never left. I don’t think you have to pick and choose what you do, especially as a creative person.
‘There are many different ways to express yourself, I don’t think you should stop yourself from doing anything.’
Cara wowed as she arrived at the popular venue in an ab-baring beaded monochrome crop top, teamed with a matching skirt.
Her eye-catching two-piece boasted an art deco design, which descended into glittering tassels along the hem of her mesh-accented skirt.

Strike a pose: The co-stars posed for photographers as their promotional campaign continued
Wearing her golden locks in a sleek, swept back style, Cara highlighted her natural beauty with a touch of bold makeup that included orange and pink eyeshadow.
Meanwhile, 42-year-old actor Orlando cut a dapper figure in a teal suit, which he teamed with a powder blue top and polished brown Oxfords.
On what it was like to work with Orlando and the cast, she said: ‘The cast made it, and to be honest the crew, everyone on set. The camaraderie on set, and the passion and the care for every detail.
‘The crew made this what this is. I know that people can’t see it but they’re there. But Orlando, he’s a brilliant actor and it was amazing to work with someone who had the same passion to make this stand out and be something different.’

Make it monochrome like Cara in Balmain
Ever the effortlessly cool dresser, Cara Delevingne wowed on the red-carpet at the premiere of Carnival Row.
The supermodel wore a look from the Balmain resort 2020 collection, featuring a crop top, along with a coordinating skirt.
We love the geometric design, intricate beading and statement look. It certainly makes a refreshing alternative to a dress on the red-carpet.

We’ve rounded up some black and white printed maxis from Next, Miss Selfridge, Ghost and Great Plains that will do the trick nicely.

On the story looking at themes like the refugee crisis, she said: ‘I mean it’s definitely grounded in reality, for me. I’ve been to Uganda and done a little work in refugee situations. South Sudan and Uganda are incredible places in terms of immigration because they let everyone from South Sudan who could get there into the country and help them thrive.
‘And you take some of the richest countries in the world who stop people from coming in. Immigrants make those countries, it makes no sense to me. It was definitely important for me and especially right now it’s getting worse so it’s a great time for this show.’
Of the role, she went on: ‘For me I think the physical aspect was really hard but to be honest with you it was the emotional journey.
‘I feel like the more people lose, and the worst the situation was, somehow they manage to deal with it better and there’s that purity about [the character] and this hope that’s still left. Some people grow up with too much and lose hope quite fast so it’s crazy.’
Chatting: The co-stars chatted enthusiastically as they made their way into the popular venue
On her elaborate costume – complete with wings – Cara said: ‘I mean it was really silly because I spent a lot of time putting books in a bag on my back trying to figure out what the weight distribution would be like for the wings.
‘But then I thought the weight distribution won’t be the same, it depends on if you have bigger boobs or not. Especially for the costume, all the different aspects of it.
‘Each costume is different, they make them completely new and different to what I’ve seen before.’
Cara recently opened up on working with supermodel Kate Moss on her first Burberry Campaign in 2014 and admitted she was intimated by the catwalk star.
She told Elle UK: “One of the best and worst moments was shooting my first Burberry campaign with Kate. It was terrifying! How do you get your photo taken next to her? It’s like shooting with a panther.
‘She’s the queen of the set but also she might eat me. I was in awe, but trying to get the shot. Every time I was on set, I’d be staring at her instead of looking at the camera’.
Adjust: As they prepared for the night’s festivities, Cara was seen adjusting Orlando’s suit
Cara also revealed that she and her close pal Kendall Jenner, 23, didn’t speak to each other the first few times they worked together.
She explained: ‘Honestly, I had low expectations for friends in this industry because: a) I didn’t think people would want to be my friend, and b) I didn’t know if making friends through this process would be fickle or seem not real.
‘So I was pleasantly surprised! Jourdan [Dunn] and Karlie [Kloss] were friends early on. I didn’t meet Kendall until I had been modelling for a bit. We had done a few shows together and didn’t say a word to each other.
‘Eventually, we started talking and I was like, “Oh, you’re alright. We should hang out after this.” She was like, “Alright, cool.” It was very easy. I found that you automatically know if someone is trying to make an effort that isn’t real, and when a friendship seems contrived.”
Cara and Orlando’s appearance comes after the actress revealed she prefers to be naked rather than fully clothed.
Control: The model appeared to be in control of the situation as she fixed Orlando’s jacket
Discussing her love of fashion, with The i Newspaper, she said: ‘I like clothes, just not all the time. I prefer to be naked – what can I say?’
But, while she’s known for being a catwalk queen and her sartorial prowess, Cara admitted that she was always drawn to acting.
‘As a kid, I saw myself as an actress. I was such a little drama queen, always running around. Even before I began acting, I was so ready to do that,’ she explained.
Crisis averted? The actor smiled as the potential problem at hand appeared to have been fixed
Castmates: Co-stars Tamzin Merchant, left, donned a Rebecca Vallance dress for the occasion alongside and Karla Crome, right
Bold print: Anna Rust, who plays Fleury on the show, wowed in a patterned plunging dress from Scotch & Soda
Admitting that she learns ‘so much’ with every acting job she has, Cara said she finds ‘it hard to be vulnerable’ for roles like refugee fairy Vignette Stonemoss in her forthcoming fantasy series in Carnival Row.
She explained: ‘That’s why I love film, because it’s about being more open with myself emotionally, and that’s the best gift ever.’
The nine-episode series, created by Travis Beacham, is set in a Victorian-era fantasy world where mythological immigrant creatures have been driven from their homelands by humans.
Despite the struggle for the groups to coexist, Cara and Orlando’s characters are set to embark on a forbidden romance.
Suits you, sir! David Gyasi, left, and Ariyon Bakare, right, looked stylish in contrasting suits
Star: Also in attendance was Simon McBurney, who appears in the show as Runyan Millworthy
However Vignette and human detective Rycroft Philostrate (Bloom) have a more important task at hand, as they try to solve a series of gruesome murders in town that threatens to dismantle the peace of the Row.
Also appearing in the series is David Gyasi as mysterious faun Agreus, Indira Varma as regal matriarch Piety Breakspear, and Karla Crome as faerie Tourmaline.
Speaking with The Express in October, Orlando said: ‘Like Cara, I was drawn to playing this interesting, dark character that inhabits this world. The world of Carnival Row is like nothing I’ve ever read before.’
‘There’s these mystical creatures that we’ve seen in different fantasy things but it’s a sort of Dickensian steam-punk kind of world with the remarkable and beautiful creatures. But then there’s also darkness.’
Carnival Row airs on Amazon Prime Video from August 30.
