Craig’s has become THE place to be seen among Hollywood’s A-list in Los Angeles.
Since opening the refined eatery in 2011, owner Craig Susser has seen the likes of the entire Kardashian-Jenner Clan, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lawrence, Ben Affleck, Kit Harington, Sandra Bullock, Cindy Crawford, Johnny Depp, Charlize Theron, Tom Hanks, and Leonardo DiCaprio walk through his door.
But during the official launch of his namesake vegan ice cream at Veggie Grill on Wednesday, Susser revealed the one famous person who caused him to be ‘star-struck’… Rolling Stone’s lead singer Mick Jagger.
Star-struck: Craig Susser, owner of celeb hot spot Craig’s in Los Angeles, revealed the one time he was star-struck at the launch of his namesake vegan ice cream on Wednesday
‘I turned around and bumped into this tiny guy and was thinking “oh my god… that’s Mick Jagger,”‘ the consummate host explained.
While making sure the cavalcade of today’s biggest and brightest who patronize the restaurant are well taken care of, Susser has also been focused on his line of dairy-free desserts.
With flavors like Killa Vanilla, Sunset & Strawberry, Melrose Mint Chip and Kursten’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, the decadent treat will be flying off the shelves soon.

Squad goals: Kim was joined by sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian along with Kendall Jenner to celebrate mogul Kylie’s 21st birthday last year as they famously posed in one of the booths at the eatery
They are currently available at Bristol Farms, Erewhon, The Greek Theatre, Soho House Malibu, and Tocaya Organica. With plans to expand soon.
Susser said the idea for the vegan ice cream came from his desire to keep his guests happy and healthy.
‘The inspiration came from the desire of our customers. There was nothing on the market we were excited about, so we decided to make something exciting ourselves,’ he told West Hollywood Design District.
Team effort: The founding team behind Craig’s Vegan ice cream includes Chef Kursten Kizer, Jeff Beacher (pictured), Larry Randolph, Harry Morton and Cade Hudson
‘It’s a collaborative creation from myself and Chef Kizer,’ Susser added. Chef Kursten Kizer helms the kitchen at Craig’s and created the vegan dessert with Susser.
