Products are being urgently recalled over safety fears by retailers including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Argos.
Customers are being warned about the items – so it’s important to check whether you have bought them.
One product has small bits pf plastic in it while another has the wrong use by date and one may cause injury from overheating batteries..

Asda’s – Liver and Bacon with Mash Meal
Asda is recalling Liver and Bacon with Mash Meal because it contains wheat (gluten) and rye (gluten), which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat, rye or gluten.

No other Asda products are known to be affected

Milarex – Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Teriyaki and Nori
Milarex UK Limited is recalling Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Teriyaki and Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Nori with a Use-by date 21/06/19 due to incorrect date labelling.
The products should have been labelled with a Use-by date of 10/06/19. This means the products may be unsafe to eat if consumed now.
The products are only sold in some selected Aldi stores.

Dunelm’s Egyptian cotton towels
Dunelm has identified a potential safety issue. In recent product testing, they found that some of its Egyptian cotton towels have failed authenticity tests. This means that certain towels have proven to not be 100% Egyptian cotton.

The product has been incorrectly packed with Tesco Thai Inspired Chilli and Coconut Seasoning. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Claire’s – Llama Jingle Bells soft toy
Claire’s Accessories UK Limited are carrying out a voluntary recall of their Llama Jingle Bells soft toy which was on sale in stores between October 2018 and February 2019.
The safety concern is that there is a risk of burns as since the moving parts are blocked, heating measured on the surface of the batteries exceeds 45 °C.

E-cigarettes sold at Argos are being recalled.
A notice on the Argos website says the battery sold with a number of cigarettes could cause overheating and result in injury.

Baby changing table
IKEA iis alerting customers who have purchased the SUNDVIK changing table/chest to ensure that they use the safety locking fittings provided at all times. Customers must not use the product for infant changing if these fittings are not in place correctly or are missing.
IKEA will provide additional safety locking kits where they have been lost or misplaced free of charge. Customers who request kits should not use their product until safety locking kits fittings are received and fitted correctly.

IKEA has received three reports of incidents where the foldable part of the SUNDVIK changing table/chest of drawers has come loose and children have fallen off the changing table. In these incidents the safety locking fittings were either not used according to instruction or were not fitted at time of construction.
Customers will not have to provide any proof of purchase, such as a receipt.
