There’s no rule book for how to deal with grief. For 10-year-old Sasha Rose singing is the release he needs. Just six months after he and twin brother Aaron lost their mum to cancer Sasha, from Highbury, is performing in the English National Opera’s The Magic Flute. She’d have been even more proud of the fact that Sasha has donated his performance fee to Marie Curie. ITV News London first met Sasha, his brother and his mum Paola two years ago. With the help of Marie Curie nurses she was still alive a year after being told she had months to live and was able to focus her energy into being a mum. And the support hasn’t stopped there. The charity gives monthly counselling sessions to Sasha and Aaron. Sasha says his dad cries every time he sees him perform – but he knows they’re tears of joy.
