Mourinho spoke to Deportes Cuatro and admitted that he made mistakes during his time with Los Blancos. “Working for Real Madrid was a unique and different experience from all the ones I’ve had,” he said. “After the experience of having coached Real Madrid, I have improved a lot as a coach and as a person; I’m calm.”

16:30 CET. Real Madrid are the team with the most goalscorers in this season’s Champions League. Nine players have been able to find the net in the seven matches to date: Karim Benzema (4), Gareth Bale (3), and Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Mariano Diaz, Isco and Casemiro all have one.
16:10 CET. Karim Benzema scored in the first leg against Ajax and, as such, has now scored a total of four goals against the Dutch giants. Ajax are the team the Frenchman has scored against most in the Champions League, along with Liverpool, APOEL and Bayern Munich.
16:00 CET. Tuesday night’s clash will be the ninth time that the German referee Felix Brych has overseen one of Los Blancos’ Champions League matches. The last time that he was referee for a Real Madrid match was in the 2-1 victory away at Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the 2017/18 season.
15:05 CET. The last time that Ajax played at the Santiago Bernabeu was in the group stages in December 2012. Real Madrid won convincingly, 4-1, with the goals coming from Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Callejon (2) and Kaka.
