Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Arielle is bringing her folksy blues from Texas to Derbyshire. She has played shows with Guns ‘n’ Roses, Billy Ray Cyrus, Gregg Allman and guitar legend Eric Johnson. Her heartfelt songs and musical style have described as reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Neil Young. Arielle will be performing in The County music bar, Saltergate, Chesterfield, on February 15, where she will be supported by two acts. First up will be singer-songwriter Banjo Jen, who hails from Sheffield. Banjo Jen weaves clever lyrics with catchy melodies, and incorporates Appalachian step-dancing and no-nonsense Yorkshire charm and humour into her sets. She has been selected twice to represent the Americana Music Association UK at both Red Rooster and The Long Road festivals. Additional support comes from The Fargo Railroad Co. who are a Southern rock/Americana inspired four-piece band from Sheffield. Looking at the mighty works of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band and ’38 Special, the band doff a cap to the sweet 70s sound of Cash, Young, Dylan while bringing in the contemporary vibes of Blackberry Smoke and Jason Isbell.
