Online fashion retailer Missy Empire is gearing up for Christmas after recording its most successful Cyber Weekend to date. The Manchester retailer broke records this Cyber Weekend, with sales up 100 per cent on the same period last year. With an offer of 30 per cent off everything for the duration of Black Friday, Cyber Weekend and Cyber Monday, Missy Empire saw sales of close to £500,000 across the four-day period, up from £250,000 last year, whilst conversion rates came in at 5.46n per cent, compared to 4.09 per cent in 2017. Brand owner Ash Siddique saids: “As a brand, we pride ourselves on being open and honest with our customers – none of our prices were inflated prior to our offers launching, which unfortunately has been identified as having been the case with some brands across this promotional period. “Our customers appreciated that and responded by shopping some of our best ever deals – we noted a 50 per cent uplift on sales and boasted record turnover for the four days, despite being just a few days short of payday.” Missy Empire has identified an upwards trend this year, having recently announced record sales in the first half of 2018 and is now on track to hit £12m revenue by the end of the year. The brand has also launched its first taxi advertising campaign.
