He has been one of Nottingham Forest’s standout performers and has enjoyed a storming few weeks. But Joe Lolley has still missed out on the Championship Player of the Month award for November. The winger was an ever-present for the Reds last month, playing the full 90 minutes in each of their four matches. Most memorably, he set up four of his side’s goals in their epic 5-5 draw at Aston Villa, as well as netting a stunning strike himself. He also got on the scoresheet in the 2-0 win at Hull City, along with playing his part in the goal-less stalemate with Stoke City and the 1-0 triumph at home to Sheffield United. But it is Villa’s Tammy Abraham who has taken the title, having claimed four goals in that thriller against Forest – with Norwich City’s Teemu Pukki and Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren Randolph joining Lolley in missing out. The Canaries’ Daniel Farke was named Manager of the Month, having guided his team to the top of the league table. It is the second time in a row Lolley has missed out on the award, having previously lost out to Birmingham City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz. However, the former Huddersfield Town man was crowned the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for October.
