SUPERGRASS star Gaz Coombes has been forced to cancel gigs after being kung-fu kicked into hospital by one of his own children. The Nineties star broke his leg when his 15-year-old daughter launched a “Bruce Lee” style attack on him, causing his UK dates to be rescheduled. He has also been forced to cancel dates in The Netherlands, France, Spain and Italy. The 42-year-old shared picture of his X-ray, telling fans: “I’ve only gone & broken my leg! “Larking around with the kids I got ‘Bruce Lee’d’ by my 15 year old, and let’s just say she connected too well. “Had surgery earlier today here @ouhospitalsOxford, where all the staff have been completely amazing.” He added: “A massive thank you to everyone here at the JR & to our wonderful #NHS. I’ll be back soon xx” His loyal fans were understanding, with one writing: “This is the universe (& your daughter) helping u to have a rest. U have been working incredibly hard this year…x” Others said: “Speedy recovery dude, #forcedwritingtime 🎶👍😜” and: “That will give you time to write some more amazing songs! Hope you get well soon.” However, probably the most pertinent message read: “Ka-chow! Girl power indeed.” Noel Gallagher introduces Don’t Look Back In Anger as the crowd sings along at Manchester Together Got a story? email [email protected] or call us direct on 02077824220.
