A new 100% vegetarian café is coming to Derby and will open its doors on Wednesday, November 14. The family-run deli and coffee house, called Vedi, will be based in Castleward Walk, Derby . The cafe , which will specialise in vegetarian and vegan food from around the world is now looking for enthusiastic staff to join them. The manager, Bal Dhamraip, said he would be happy to provide full training for those applying without previous cafe experience. Mr Dhamraip, who is also the owner of the café, said: “We’re looking forward to opening in Derby. We won’t serve your usual greasy fry-ups, we’ll have healthy wraps, sandwiches and paninis on our menu. ” The family have previously run a café in Birmingham. Mr Dhamraip added: “We’re 100% vegetarian, which means no egg too. We also provide gluten free options.” According to their website, the café will offer organically grown coffee and their food is made using local and organic produce.
