Chelsea have offered N’Golo Kante a new deal in a bid to ward off growing interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The 27-year-old World Cup-winning midfielder still has three years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge. But the Blues want to tie him to a longer-term deal with PSG in the market for a new defensive midfielder. France star Kante cost £32million when he joined from Leicester in 2016. He was the double player of the year in his first season at Chelsea after helping them to the Premier League title. A year earlier, he had helped Leicester become champions of England for the first time in the club’s history. Kante has been ever-present for the Blues under boss Maurizio Sarri’s new regime. The Frenchman has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring a rare goal in the process.
