Two people have been charged with assaulting a police officer following reports of an alleged assault at a property in Neath Road, Briton Ferry. A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said they were called to the property at around 8.10pm on Wednesday, August 29. She said: “A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while two men and a woman were arrested at a nearby address. “Louis Postans, 27, from Glynneath, was later charged with assault and was bailed to appear at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on September 18.” The spokeswoman added that Jonathan Taylor, 29, from Neath, was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and theft from a shop. He was bailed to appear at court on October 2. She said Abagail Carey, 21, of Briton Ferry, was charged with assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer and would appear in court on September 18.
