Merseyside is set for a string of sunny days after a week of heavy downpours. According to the Met Office, the continuous bad weather and storms could be coming to an end today and will allow for a much more pleasant week. There is still a chance of rain this afternoon but from 5pm onwards the sun will start to break through to lead us into a bright Monday morning. Although it will still be chilly tomorrow it will be a mostly sunny day with a maximum temperature of around 14°C. Tuesday is also expected to be a fine day weather-wise, with some sun over lunchtime hours. Wednesday is forecast to be slightly cloudier but the Met Office have no expectations for rain so although it may be dark and dreary, it will still be dry. Thursday will be the best day of the week with a maximum temperature of 17°C and sunshine forecast from 10am until sunset. And to help you plan ahead for next weekend, Friday and Saturday will see a slight temperature drop but will be dry and could even see some sun breaking through the cloud. Maximum temperature 11°C.
