Alexandra Cane slams Love Island for only starring tiny women as she says she loves her ‘size 8 figure and small boobs’

ALEXANDRA Cane has lashed out at Love Island bosses for failing to cast curvy girls and was “shocked” to be branded the biggest female of the series.

The reality beauty, 27, believes women of a certain body type aren’t accepted onto the dating programme – as she reveals she loves her size eight figure and naturally small breasts.

Fans hailed her “the dream woman” and said she “had the best body on the show” after she displayed her voluptuous curves in thong bikinis.

And now Alexandra, who looks sensational in a new shoot, has urged producers to recruit diverse body types for the next series so women like her aren’t perceived as bigger.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online she said: “It is great I was relatable to so many girls and they saw me as a normal shape.

“But the crazy thing is I’m a size eight so for that to be curvy – the barrier wasn’t broken.

“Bigger sizes clearly weren’t accepted, for me as a size eight to go into the villa and be the biggest girl that is quite shocking to me. I’m still glad I could do it for the ladies.”

Viewers tweeted in their thousands out of admiration for Alexandra’s figure, with one saying: “Absolutely loving Alexandra’s body, doing it for the girls who want to be toned but also enjoy a cheeky takeaway.”

Another rejoiced: “So glad they’ve put a girl like Alexandra in, she’s got a lush curvy body and is so confident with it.”

But this week she shared a throwback image of her bikini body “at her worst” sparking criticism from trolls who slammed her for “fat shaming.”

Now Alex has revealed she isn’t ashamed of the way she looks in the photo that was taken just last year – but still feels emotional when she sees it as she’s reminded of darker times in her life.

She said: “I didn’t feel insanely overweight at that point or big or fat but I felt like an image of me looking that way now would be scrutinised.

“I wasn’t scared about posting it; there was nothing for me to be ashamed of. I let myself go at that point – I wasn’t treating myself well and it is upsetting to see that image.

“It wasn’t me; that was a low point in my life and I didn’t feel at all confident.”

Alexandra was one of few islanders this series to embrace her natural figure – while co-star Megan Barton Hanson spent thousands on two breast ops, lip fillers, a nose job and teeth veneers before entering the villa.

And Alexandra still has no urge to go under the knife to enhance her breast size and isn’t keen on plumping her pout like Laura Anderson has with lip fillers.

She said: “For myself I am embracing what God gave me, embracing what my mamma gave me.

“I actually love my small breasts; I love them. I get to wear some outfits that others may not feel comfortable because it may be too much. I just like having small boobs; they just sit there all perky.

“I’ve never had any work done. Before the show I went to the gym four or five times a week, I had a personal trainer and I was eating really well.

“I got myself happy and healthy and now I feel fit and I’m proud of my body and that’s what I want to encourage.”
